Christmas Wishes & Thank You from Sisters of Support

Christmas Wishes & Thank You from Sisters of Support
As we come to the end of another year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for everything you have done to support Sisters of Support throughout 2025. Your encouragement, partnership, donations, collaboration, and belief in our work have helped us reach more women, open more groups, and continue providing safe, free, community-led mental health support across County Durham.
This year, your support has helped us:
• expand into new areas and reach more women in crisis
• strengthen our volunteer team and peer-led model
• deliver community wellbeing activities, workshops, and events
• provide support to women experiencing isolation, hardship, or trauma
• build communities where no woman has to face things alone
None of this would be possible without you.
As we head into the festive period, we know the holidays can bring additional pressures – financial, emotional, and practical. We hope you find time to rest, connect, and take care of yourself and those around you.
Our groups are now closed for the Christmas break and will reopen in January on the following dates:
• Shildon – Monday 5th January
• Bishop Auckland Day – Monday 12th January
• SOS Choir – Monday 12th January
• Gilpin – Tuesday 13th January
• Simpasture – Tuesday 20th January
• Bishop Auckland Night – Wednesday 21st January
We look forward to continuing our work with you in 2026 as we expand our support further across County Durham and beyond, ensuring women have access to safe spaces, understanding, and community.
Thank you once again for standing with us, believing in our vision, and helping us create real change.
Wishing you a warm, peaceful, and restorative Christmas and New Year.
With gratitude,
Amy, Carrie, Tina & the SOS Team
