Throughout October Sisters of support ran a raffle to raise funds to cover the running costs incurred by the groups. Tickets were £1 each and prizes included such things as £100 cash donated by Palram, £100 Gentleman Jims tattoo voucher and an amazing garden bundle from Husqvarna. On November 1st, Aycliffe Radio ran their yearly Spooktackular scarefest at ROF59 which the Sisters attended. The evening went off without a hitch but there may have been one or two trembles. Sisters of Support held a stall with a gruesome game and sold the few remaining raffle tickets. Once all tickets had gone, the prizes were drawn, and all (35+) prizes claimed. The winning ticket number was 1051 and the lucky winner walked away with the garden set which included a lawnmower and strimmer (with various other garden related items). Carrie, Amy and Tina (Sisters of support directors) would like to say a huge thank you to the ladies who attended on the evening to help run the stall and volunteer as a scare actor and everyone who bought tickets or attended the event. It was an evening to remember, and it is these events and your kindness that keep groups like SOS running, helping the community and reaching those in need. In total the women raised a whopping £1443, this money is invaluable and goes towards supporting women in the local area.
